How to cook salmon fish curry

http://healthyhealthyrecipes.blogspot.com/2015/05/how-to-cook-salmon-fish-curry.html

Salmon is one of my favorite fish to eat in launch because it usually cooks so quick and it’s usually pretty satisfying without feeling too heavy to do. I like curry color and flavor. Which are really completely related when it comes to cooking. Usually several time color means flavor, if you see it has no color it probably wont have much taste either. So which is what is interesting about this dish.

I’ve prepared a salmon fish curry  which was patiently waiting to enter into health related blog. I had prepared it along with this fried. I’m in the full mood of clearing my drafts today and gave a way to this simple Asian style curry, no further stories, you can go to the recipe now.

10) Garnish with coriander leaves and served with steamed rice and lemon wedges.

NOTE SHOULD BE CONSIDER:
1) Increase and decrease the spice and salt to your taste buds before you add fish fillets.
2) You may also add additional spice powder like fish masala powder to this curry one. I do not prefer store bought masala and other things hence I didn't add them.
3) Only ten minutes after adding fishFree Web Content, see on the curry. Once the fish is cooked remove it well from heat as they tend to break easily when overcooked.

Prepare a Easy and Tasty Meatloaf Recipe

http://healthyhealthyrecipes.blogspot.com/2015/05/prepare-easy-and-tasty-meatloaf-recipe.html

Meatloaf Recipe

Meatloaf can sometimes be a polarizing meal. There are those who love it and some who don't. The naysayers, we believe, just haven't found their ideal preparation, as there are an infinite amount of recipes for meatloaf. There is also the possibility that they've never tried a properly prepared meatloaf. As any cook knows, ingredients and recipes are prep sensitive and require specific provisions. Don't give up on the friends and family who are missing out, however. Instead, try these tips to create and discover the perfect meatloaf recipes of everyone you care about!

Don't forget the binding ingredient: The perfect meatloaf should hold its shape well before and after it is cooked. The meat you use is going to need a bit of help however, if it's going to stay together and not crumble. To achieve the right texture, you'll need to add a binding agent. Bread crumbs are a popular option but you can also use ingredients like crushed crackers, cereal or chips. Eggs are another great binding tool and they will also add tons of moisture to your existing recipe for meatloaf.

Sauté your veggies: Adding vegetables and herbs is an essential part of making a good meatloaf.  It adds flavor to the meat, enhances the texture and contributes to a moist result.  A good trick to getting even more out of your veggies is to first sauté them in little oil or butter.  Doing so will unleash the full flavor potential of seasonings like onion and garlic.

Let it rest. Much like you would with a steak, it is important to let your meatloaf sit untouched for at least ten minutes after it's removed from the oven. This is because the muscle fibers tense when meat is being cooked, encouraging all moisture to seep out. If the meat is cut into right away, the juices can escape, leaving you with a dry piece of meat. By letting your meatloaf rest, the moisture will be reabsorbed and your meat will be tender and juicy. Now that you have the right practices, you should be able to execute a technically sound meatloaf. What if the problem isn't in execution however, but in flavoring? Here are some recipe tips to win over the staunchest cynics.

For the grill master:

Meatloaf?  Pfft, it's all about burgers, steaks and ribs for a griller. No recipe for meatloaf will ever come close to the flame-kissed flavor or traditional grilled meats.  At least that's what they think.

Grilled Meatloaf Stroganoff:

Prep Time: 15 min                    |       Cooking Time: 25 min

Ingredients:

    3 Tbsp. olive oil, divided
    1 onion
1 cup cremini or white mushrooms, finely chopped
    1 Beef flavored Bouillon Cube
1 ½ lbs. extra lean ground beef
½ cup plain dry bread crumbs
    1 egg, lightly beaten
1 package Classic Brown Gravy Mix
¼ cup reduced fat sour cream

Methods:

Cook the onions and mushrooms in 1 Tbsp. oil over medium heat. When the vegetables are tender, stir in the Bouillon and cook the mixture for one additional minute, before removing from heat. Set 2 Tbsp. of the vegetable mixture aside.

Mix the beef, bread crumbs, egg and larger portion of the mushroom mixture, then form the meat into a loaf on an aluminum-foil-lined baking sheet.

Brush the loaf on all sides with the remaining oil, then invert the meatloaf onto a preheated grill and remove the foil. Cook over medium-high heat on both sides until the loaf has grill marks.

Turn the burners off and shut the grill cover, allowing the meat to roast until it has reached 160°F. Meanwhile, prepare the Gravy Mix according to the directions, making sure to stir in the 2 Tbsp. of mushroom mixture and the sour cream. Serve with the finished meatloaf.

For the spice lover:

Chances are you've got someone in your network that is a die-hard chili enthusiast. They'll take a splash of hot sauce with just about anything they are eating and traditional recipes for meatloaf, in their opinion, lack spice.

Latin Meatloaf:

Prep Time: 20 min                            Cooking Time: 45 min

Ingredients:

    1 Tbsp. oil
    ¾ cup red bell pepper
3 jalapeno peppers, (or to taste), seeded and finely chopped
    2 medium carrots, coarsely grated
    ½ cup green olives, chopped
    1/3 cup water
    3 Tbsp. Beef Bouillon
    2 lbs. ground beef
1 cup plain dry bread crumbs
    3 eggs, lightly beaten
    1/3 cup ketchup

Homemade Dog Treats: Strawberry Dog Treats and Healthy Pumpkin Balls

She used Pinterest to find a recipe to base hers off of. She added whole wheat flour and an egg. I believe she also added a little peanut butter and some banana. Then she shaped the dough into dog bones, popped them in the oven and not long after had fresh dog treats to give her puppy. And let me just say, the dog had no complaints!

There are a lot of dog treat recipes out there. Ingredients such as; carrots, apples, pumpkin, sweet potato, and oatmeal are great! Whatever you decide to use, make sure it will not go bad and make sure the ingredients are safe for dogs!!!

One advantage to making your own dog treats is you know exactly what you are putting in it, which SHOULD mean it is very healthy. It may take more time and effort, but for me, it is worth it! You will have a happy, healthy dog. My daughter is into making things herself and I found a recipe off Pinterest by Homemade Dog Treats I thought she should try to make for her dog and well maybe for her too? It sounds so good!

Strawberry dog treats!

Ingredients

1⁄2 cup diced strawberries

1 banana

1 cup whole wheat flour

1⁄4 cup oatmeal

1/4cup plain Greek Yogurt

Directions

Mash the banana and strawberries. Then you add the flour, oatmeal and yogurt and stir until mixed thoroughly. Flatten dough to about 1⁄4 inch and then make the shapes however you please and place on a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 15 minutes (until golden and slightly soft). This recipe also says to store the treats in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 weeks. I must say, this sounds pretty good and I would probably give it a taste myself! I just talked with my daughter about this and I think she is going to make it here soon, when her other treats run out!

I am going to add one more recipe that sounds good

Healthy pumpkin balls

How to Make Chocolate Chip Cookies

http://healthyhealthyrecipes.blogspot.com/2015/05/how-to-make-chocolate-chip-cookies.html

Making and decorating cookies is a family tradition of ours during the holidays; mainly Christmas and Easter. For Christmas I usually make chocolate chip, snowballs and sugar cookies that we decorate and Easter usually just sugar cookies. To this day they still enjoy decorating the sugar cookies, even though they aren't little kids anymore. Every year they have produced some pretty darn good ones so the par is set high for the most creative ones, but we will always have some goofy mess up ones that we always end up eating by the end of the night, saving the pretty ones for the family party.

The chocolate chip cookie is my go to cookie. Not only is it simple to make, but it is downright delicious! There is nothing better than a warm, gooey chocolate chip cookie fresh out of the oven in your mouth and washing it down with a nice glass of milk. I use the recipe on the back of the Toll House chocolate chip bag. The only change I make is I swap butter for Crisco and I add 1/2 cup more of flour. I believe that is the key to how awesome the cookies turn out!

Ingredients:

2 ¾ cup of flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon salt

1 cup Crisco

¾ cup firmly packed brown sugar

¾ cup sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

One 12oz. package (2cups) semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In a small bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt; set aside. In a large bowl, combine Crisco, sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract; Beat in eggs. Gradually add flour to mixture. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Drop by level tablespoonful's onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake for 9-12 minutes.

During the process of placing spoonful's of cookie dough on the cookie sheet, my daughter and I enjoy munching on the cookie dough, and then we also eat a few fresh out of the oven. Once they cool, I keep half of the batch out in a container on the counter, and I put the other half in the freezer. For some reason we can't have just one, two or three cookies when we freeze them, they are just that good when they are frozen!

Cookies are a fun, easy thing to bake and it is a great thing to do with your kids. I have such great memories baking and cooking with my mine and it makes them feel  like they were doing something important and it taught them how to cook and bake.

How Cook Greek Lamb with Harissa

lamb shank recipe

I recently found this article online and it really wowed me. Have a read!

Possibly the best thing about eating out is that you're given the opportunity to taste something you might not normally try. The appeals of being in your own home though, are hard to compete with. What about giving mum the best of both worlds this Mother's Day with an expertly cooked and harissa-spiced lamb? Sprinkle over some pomegranate seeds or dried cranberries, and you've got a feast the whole family will be talking about. Now give them a call, and invite them all over.

Ingredients:

For the lamb:

1 leg of lamb, weighing around 2.5–3kg, de-boned and butterflied. Ask your butcher to do this for you.

2 tablespoons sweet smoked paprika

2 tablespoons coriander seeds

2–3 garlic cloves

For the dressing:

100–200ml harissa paste (depending on how hot you like it), plus a little extra for basting. You can find this in most supermarkets.

500ml thick Greek yoghurt

1 large handful of black olives, pitted

Freshly chopped mint, parsley and coriander. Keep some aside to serve.

1 pomegranate or a large handful of dried cranberries

To serve:

100g toasted almond flakes and sesame seeds, optional

Method:

1. Preheat the oven to 180°C, or light the braai.

2. Ask your butcher to debone the lamb leg (or buy it butterflied). Open it up and if there is a part that is much thicker than the rest, cut a small slit through it. This will allow it to cook evenly.

3. Rub the lamb leg with smoked paprika, coriander seeds and a bit of olive oil.

4. Make a few small incisions with a knife and fill with slithers of garlic.

5. Allow to marinate for about 30 minutes whilst you wait for the coals.

6. While you wait for the lamb to marinade, make your dressing. Mix together the harissa paste, yoghurt, olives and herbs. Lastly, stir through the pomegranate seeds or dried cranberries.

7. Place the lamb in a roasting tray, baste with a bit of harissa, cover with foil and pop in the oven for 30 minutes. This is so you don't burn that outer crust on the braai (if you like, however, cook it all over the coals using indirect heat).

8. Remove the lamb from the oven and place on the coals to cook for about 10 minutes on each side. This will give you pink lamb. Leave it on the coals for a bit longer if you'd like it well done. Baste occasionally with the harissa. If you'd prefer to cook it in the oven, just pop the lamb under the grill for the same amount of time as you would cook it on the braai.

9. Remove from the braai or oven and allow to rest.

10. Serve the lamb with the chunky dressing and sprinkle over the toasted seeds and almonds.
